Who We Are
Our Story
Pastor Ritchie and Kim began to pray about starting a brand-new church in the spring of 2001. At the time, Ritchie traveled around the world as a full-time speaker God soon revealed to them that they were to take this giant step of faith. As they started this journey, they had no money, no members, and no prospects. But God provided a group of eighteen eager adults and the church launched on September 9, 2001.
Still Waters Church was started to reach the un-churched, to reach across racial lines and denominational barriers, and to help people find a new beginning through Jesus Christ. Our goal is to help people develop a growing relationship with Christ and to impact Metro Atlanta and the world with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Bringing people, wherever they are, into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ is the main purpose of Still Waters. We believe that the church is to be a hospital for the sick, not a country club for the elite. Our belief is that we must reach people wherever they are. We seek to tear down the barriers that exist between people and God. Because we believe in the Gospel and God’s grace, we realize that no one is perfect. That is why you will often hear us say, “Still Waters Church is the perfect place for imperfect people.
We have seen many people follow Christ and become a part of Still Waters Church, but our story is not finished yet. We believe the best is yet to come! Our hope is that you will be a part of the story and will discover a place where you belong.

Ritchie is the founding and Senior Pastor of Still Waters Church. When he is not working for the church, he can probably be found hanging out with his dogs. He says they are always glad to see him no matter how the sermon went.

As a co-founder of Still Waters Church, Kim has worn many hats over the years. She currently serves as Kid’s Pastor. She is a gifted musician and majored in music in college. On Sunday mornings, she serves as a “tiny human tamer.”

Jose has had a varied and interesting career. Having retired from the Navy and the business world, he now focuses his time and energy on serving as a multifaceted leader in the church.

Chib White is a gifted musician with years of experience leading people to worship. He is also an avid outdoorsman. When he is not leading worship in church he can probably be found in the woods honing his hunting skills.

Tyler has been a member of Still Waters Church since he was a child. His creative side has allowed him to explore using technology in powerful ways for ministry. Tyler loves music and has played for years.

Wendy Smith is an expert at connecting with people. She loves helping people feel like a part of the church. Her culinary training also makes her a big hit with everyone at church!
